Where were all of the trick-or-treaters this year? Last year we have droves of them, and it was even raining. We ran out of candy and had to shut off the light. This year we were prepared with five sacks of candy (and it was good candy!) and we had hardly anyone come by. I guess that means lots of chocolate for me.
Did anyone else notice there were fewer little goblins and princesses this year? Are parents afraid of letting their kids get candy from strangers? Is it just out of fashion? Was a too cold? A school night? Our neighborhood is just lame? When my brother and I went the streets were crawling with other kids. We would cover massive territory in our quest for free sugar. Things can’t have changed that much in a few short years, could they?
